Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRSs) have recently emerged as a promising solution for realizing the smart radio environment concept by leveraging characteristics of metamaterials and large antenna arrays. However, existing works on IRS do not account transceiver impairments while analyzing performance assisted wireless systems.
